Discover Fussen before you travel to Garmisch, your base to explore the Spa city of Bad Tolz and the home to violin manufacturers Mittenwald. Travel to Berchtesgaden, a scenic Alpine village at the foot of Mount Watzmann, where you will see the Eagle's Nest, the former mountain retreat of Adolf Hitler. Explore the birth place of famous musician Mozart and enjoy exploring landmarks associated with Sound of Music film. Return to Munich before you fly back home filled with unforgettable memories!

DAY 02, 27 Apr’25: MUNICH ARRIVAL
Welcome to Germany! Upon arrival at the Munich International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Munich is the capital city of the state of Bavaria and is where the annual Oktoberfest Festival takes place every year from mid-September to the beginning of October and the smaller Maifest in April-May.

DAY 03, 28 Apr’25: MUNICH. (B/-/-)
Discover the more than 8 centuries of history of the Bavarian capital in just three hours! Munich, home to the famous Oktoberfest, is also one of the most important cities to understand the history and culture of the German people. Start your day with the half day panoramic city tour of Munich. Start at the Karlstor, passing by the church St. Michael, the Marienplatz square with the City Hall and its famous carillon, the Frauenkircheand many other attractions of the historic center. Head to the Viktualienmarkt (or one of the other municipalities) and enjoy Maifest festivities around the Maypole. (The Maypole is not raised every year but once in few years, the Maypole in Viktualiemarkt was first raised in 1962 and last in 2022. We will take you the municipality (if any) which will be raising the Maypole this year). Enjoy the Spring fest, the miniature version of the October-fest. The Spring fest 2025 & 2026 takes place in just two (still really big) beer tents: Festhalle Bayernland and the Hippodrom.

DAY 04, 29 Apr’25: MUNICH – BAVARIAN CASTLES - FUSSEN (B/-/-)
Drive to Fussen, enroute visiting the most famous castle in Germany, Neuschwanstein. The castle was built by Ludwig II, known as the Mad King because of his unique personality and eccentricities. The Bavarian king commissioned the construction between 1869 and 1886. He wanted it to resemble the medieval castles of the German knights combined with a neo-romantic style. This castle served as the inspiration for Walt Disney when he created the castle for Sleeping Beauty in Disneyland. Continue your journey to Fussen, beautifully located on the banks of Lech River and home to Hohes Schloss, the former summer residence of the price bishops of Augsburg. Arrive and check in for an evening of leisure.

DAY 05, 30 Apr’25: FUSSEN - GARMISCH (B/-/-)
Explore the Bavarian town of Fussen, with its colorful buildings, Gothic Castle, and mountain backdrop. Start your tour with the visit to the high castle, the former summer residence of the prince bishops of Augsburg. Here you will learn about a treaty that ended imperial ambitions, and why this city is so perfect to see on foot, that even it’s name says so: Füssen, or “Feet”. Admire the Bavarian architecture, the sparkling turquoise river that runs through its center and the cobble-stoned alleyway that give the town an old-world charm, while it still offers all the services that you expect in modern times. You will get to visit Benedictine Monastery of St Mang, whose history goes back to the 9th century Magnus of Füssen Treaty of Füssen Romantic Road. Along the way, we will visit Wieskirche Church and make a brief stop at Ettal Benedictine Abbey

DAY 06, 01 May’25: GARMISCH - BAD TOLZ -MITTENWALD - GARMISCH (B/-/-)
This morning take an excursion to Bad Tolz, one of the oldest living cities in the world, believe to be occupied continuously since the retreat of the ice age. Today Bad Tölz is known for its spas, historic medieval town, and its views of the Alps. On the western bank of the Isar River lies the Kurverwaltung, or modern spa, whose iodine-rich waters are known for their soothing and healing powers. Next visit Mittenwald, famous for the manufacture of violins, violas and cellos which began in the mid-17th century by the Klotz workshop. Visit the most significant landmark in the village, the pink colored Roman Catholic church of Saints Peter and Paul, which is typical of the region. The church and many of the surrounding buildings, both businesses and private residences, are decorated with elaborate paintings on the exterior walls. Return to Garmisch for rest of the evening at leisure. (Subject to change based on where Maipole raisings will be occurring. Villages release these dates in early 2025)

DAY 07, 02 May’25: GARMISCH - BERCHTESGADEN (B/-/-)
Travel to Berchtesgaden, a typical traditional Alpine village at the foot of Mount Watzmann. Arrive and check in at the hotel. After brief rest, visit the Berchtesgaden National Park, created in 1978 and s the only national alpine park in Germany. The park was designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1990 for the protection of its breathtaking landscape. The region’s attractions include the salt mines, Lake Konigssee, and Obersalzberg with the Eagle’s Nest, which was once the site of Hitler’s Mountain Retreat. After a visit to the Eagle’s Nest (only possible from May till mid-October), you will have free time to explore the area at leisure; perhaps head on a boat tour on Lake Konigssee

DAY 08, 03 May’25: BERCHTESGADEN– SALZBURG - BERCHTESGADEN (B/-/-)
Enjoy a full day excursion to Salzburg, once home to the greatest music composer - Mozart. Discover the millennium old history of the picture perfect town, the journey begins with the visit to baroque gone mad Alstadt, the old town with its jewel box of churches, abbeys, and domes. Visit the Mirabell Palace and its magnificent gardens where the famous Hollywood movie Sound of Music was filmed. Pass through the Mozart’s birth place and former residence and wander around the Residentplatz, home to Baroque landmarks such as Salzburg Cathedral and the Residenz. Admire the view of Hohensalzburg fortress from a vantage point, perched on the hilltop, the magnificent castle imposes on the Salzburg’s skyline. Return to Berchtesgaden in the evening.

DAY 09, 04 May’25: BERCHTESGADEN - MUNICH (B/-/D)
Take a leisurely drive back to Munich, arrive and check in at the hotel. Afternoon free to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities. You may choose to go out and explore more of Munich on your own, as you prepare yourself to go back home. Indulge in some last minute shopping. Evening enjoy a farewell three course dinner (drinks excluded) at a local restaurant.

DAY 10, 05 May’25: MUNICH– USA/CANADA (B/-/-)
Today you will be transferred to the Munich International Airport to check in for your onward flight home.
