Funding It Forward

The Chamber’s Funding it Forward program offers fundraising opportunities for member nonprofits, financial support for events not organized by the Chamber, and funding for projects that enhance, restore, or contribute to Leavenworth and the surrounding membership area.

2025 Projects & Recipients

In 2025, the Chamber’s Funding It Forward programs will include the Carvings for Causes silent auction during the summer and our Recreation, Oktoberfest and Christmastown Ambassador programs.

Additionally, the Chamber has allocated nearly $150,000 to support events, programs, and area projects in 2025. At their annual retreat meeting in early February, the Board approved financial assistance to the following organizations' 2025 destination development projects.

Upper Valley Historical Society

Funding for a a new permanent Bavarian Transformation Exhibit and the research, design, and further restoration of the Glockenspiel Exhibit.

City of Leavenworth

Donation of a newly designed and constructed map kiosk at 8th & Commercial (pending City of Leavenworth approval)

Icicle Valley Trout Unlimited

Contribution towards the Blackbird Island Pond Restoration Project.

Cascade Fisheries

Contribution towards the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery Salmon-themed park captial campaign.

Leavenworth Mountain Association

Financial assistance with human waste mitigation at trailheads.

Funding it Forward Consideration

How can my organization be considered for Funding it Forward financial support?

To be eligible, recipients must:

  • Be a member in good standing with the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce.

  • Provide a formal letter/request with details about the project or event to the Executive Director between October 1 and December 31 for the following calendar year. (As this is an annual process, requests are only taken during those months.)

  • If requested, meets with the Development Committee who vet all projects that get forwarded to the board for financial consideration.

  • Provide a 10 minute presentation to the board at their annual retreat on the first Thursday of February if requested.
