JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing the cleanliness and appearance of our guest rooms and facilities.
Make up beds and change linens.
Sweep, scrub, mop floors.
Vacuum carpets, rugs and draperies.
Wipe down and sanitize wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers.
Dust or clean/polish furniture, fixtures and fittings.
Empty and clean trash containers.
Pick up litter around property.
Take in-room inventory, and report product use and items that guests have taken to purchase.
Report any need repairs.
Make sure all lost and found items are logged.
Sort, wash, load and unload dirty laundry, and then fold, put away clean laundry.
Take care of our guests and help answer their questions.
Be familiar with property amenities, local recommendations, and fun things to do in the area.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
SKILLS NEEDED

Set tables with chinaware, glass, silver and linens

Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations as needed.
Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately, processing payments efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
Assist in setting up for special events or banquets, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive atmosphere for guests.
Requirements;.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs accurately..
A friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to foster positive guest interactions.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
A commitment to providing exceptional hospitality while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Job Description: The Blue Elk Inn is hiring a seasonal landscaper for the 2025 season. The ideal start date for this position would be between March 15th and April 1st. This position will run until late fall, with the exact end date being dependent on the weather. We may also be able to keep you on through the winter in another position if you are interested. Hours are flexible and may be somewhat variable based on projects and workload, but would most likely be approximately 20 hours/week. Landscaping experience strongly preferred.
